About me
I'm the mom of 5, grandma of 10. For the past several decades, I’ve led children’s and student ministries at the local church while also leading initiatives around adoption and foster care. Sixteen of those years were at Crossroads, a large multi-site church with sites in Kentucky and Ohio. As an adoptive mom and mom and grandma of kids with special needs, my passion is creating safe, welcoming and fun environments for all kids—regardless of their background, unique needs, or energy level—so they can better experience God and grow in their faith. Through speaking, writing and coaching I work with parents, church leaders and organizations to equip volunteer and staff teams, strengthen families and support parents.
When we know better we do better, so together let's come together to learn new techniques and strategies to respond to challenging behavior, help kids grow and heal and in the process we'll grow and heal too.
